Lauren has a long history at ABEC, having first visited as a school student in 2004. She went on to complete a Veterinary Science degree at Sydney University and returned to ABEC for her internship in 2011. Under the mentorship of Christine and Derek she developed a passion for surgery, so went to the USA to specialise in equine surgery. Lauren returned to the practice as an ACVS boarded surgeon in 2017. She is passionate about all aspects of surgery, in particular upper airway surgery and arthroscopy. She also underwent extensive lameness training during her residency and is interested in managing performance horse musculoskeletal conditions. Lauren has had a busy few years growing her family, but is now excited to be leading the ABEC team into this next phase as partner and managing director!
